  1. The Realm De-Installation Utility

  4. This little guy is basically a quick and sure way to purge
  5. all of The Realm files from your system, and, if you wish,
  6. save your data files for continuation of the game. This can
  7. be useful if
  8.  
  9.       1. You wish to completely re-install the game for some
  10.          reason, but want to continue your current game.
  11.  
  12.       2. You get sick of the darned thing and want to completely
  13.          purge it from your system.
  14.  
  15. I really made this thing for my cohart, Stone Hand (AKA Logon1
  16. to a lot of you). He was always removing and reinstalling the
  17. game while helping me test upgrades and updates. So, this little
  18. puppy allowed him to do complete reinstalls while keeping the
  19. game on his system going.

  21. Be aware, that this is NOT necessary when upgrading the game with
  22. one of my upgrade or update modules. Those handle themselves. This
  23. is only for that rare occasion that you do need a method of complete
  24. and total deletion of the game from your system.

  28. One note: If you wish to save your data files for continuation
  29. of your game while using this utility, you must have one of the
  30. following file archivers either in your path, or in the BBS
  31. directory. PKARC, PKZIP, or LHARC. If you don't, and you wish to
  32. save the data files, move them manually before running the de-install.

  34. If you do choose to save your game data, the filename under which
  35. the files will be stored will be called REALMDAT.XXX, where XXX
  36. will be the extension of the archive method you select in the
  37. utility (.ZIP, .ARC, or .LZH).

  51. 1. Extract these three files into your BBS directory
  52. 2. Type RLMDELET and press <ENTER>
  53. 3. Answer all questions.
